Jessica Cavallaro is an educator, innovator, and change-maker in education. She discovered Agile as a solution to keep her students connected, collaborating, and creating while distance learning and it transformed her pedagogy. Jessica has trained with L-EAF.org to become a LearningFLOW certified educator. She found such profound benefits in the agile framework that she co-founded The Agile Mind to help bring this journey to educators and students everywhere.
Jessica believes that education should be messy, collaborative, and engaging. She has always been an early adopter of techniques that will bring more student agency and active learning in the classroom. She is highly trained in implementing project-based learning and design thinking. Jessica is passionate about pushing education to evolve to meet the needs of today's students. She believes that education should always be purposeful and adaptable, providing skills and relationships that will benefit students as they grow.
Jessica has worked primarily as a social studies teacher in New York, Connecticut, and Florida. Her career has provided her with experiences in public and private schools and given her the opportunity to learn from experts in a variety of settings. As a teacher that has negotiated standards, protocols, and rules in several districts she aims to support teachers in their development of creating student first curriculum where all student needs are met. She is passionate about developing better systems that put students first in education.
